We would sneak out of boarding school and do the round of pubs in Ryde, scrounging drinks off anyone we knew and enough people we didn't. A pint of bitter was 35p. If there were 3 of us on the piss and we could borrow a pound, we then had to find 5p to get the round in. Happy days!
